Orange, Banana and Carrot Juice

We are doing something this week that we have never done before - a cleansing diet! We have challenged ourselves to a 5-day juice cleanse and today we are halfway through it. Although we love to cook and eat, we felt it was about time to jump on the juicing bandwagon and see what it is all about. We've got to say that we haven't felt deprived of food yet, although we are trying to avoid the temptation by exercising and hanging out at home this week. We even turned down a dinner with friends last night, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices, especially when you want to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Today we are sharing with you the very first juice we made with our new juicer at home. It is an orange, banana and carrot juice and it tastes sweet and fruity. If you serve it really cold, it is a refreshing treat that will make you feel good from the inside out. We hope you get inspired to make your own juices at home!

Ingredients:
5-6 oranges
5 medium sized carrots
2 bananas

Kitchen Essentials:
Cutting board
Knife
Electronic juicer
Blender
Pitcher

*Recipe serves two*

Directions:
Begin by removing the rind of the oranges and wash the carrots. Chop up the carrots into chunks. Turn on the juicer and add the oranges, then the carrots. Take the carrot and orange juice and add into the blender. Remove the bananas from the skin and put into the blender as well. Blend until smooth. You can add ice if you are drinking immediately. Otherwise, pour into a pitcher and chill.

    1. It wasn't too bad. So far, we have each lost 2-3 pounds. It is probably mostly water weight, but hey, we will take it (or lose it! lol)

  7. Dear Cristy, I had a juicer and did have fun coming up with many different combinations. They were very delicious. Though I found I would go through a whole bag of oranges or apples or carrots, etc to make a juice drink.
Enjoy the fun of coming up with the different juice drinks.
    Blessings dearest. Catherine xo

  15. Hey,

Awesome Like lowed client benefit superior to anything home warehouse post you have shared here. There was something about crude carrots that taste metallic to me. I dunno. I surmise that is the main way I can depict it. To me crunching on a carrot, even one suffocated in farm dressing resembled gnawing into tin thwart. I wasn't having it. Truly this post is extremely basic for us..

    Thanks,
    Frank
