2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
4 tablespoons of fresh or dried lavender flowers
Add the water, sugar and lavender flowers in a medium saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar and allow the mixture to come to a boil. Be very careful, the mixture will be very hot! Let the mixture vigorously boil for 5 minutes and remove from the heat.
Once the mixture has completely cooled, pass the mixture through strainer to capture all the lavender flowers. Place the syrup in a storage container and allow to store and cool in the refrigerator.
