Lavender Simple Syrup

Lavender is widely used all over Europe, from ice cream, to oils and candles. Every corner you take, you will almost be certain that you will see a vendor selling this fragrant herb. Mrs. P absolutely loves it, so she wanted it for our garden. We had so many blooms that we decided to make lavender simple syrup. This is a great syrup to have on hand in your fridge and it adds a nice fragrant and floral flavor to a number of different cocktails and dishes.

Ingredients:
2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
4 tablespoons of fresh or dried lavender flowers

Kitchen essentials:
Medium Saucepan
Wooden spoon
Stove
Storage container
Strainer

Directions:
Add the water, sugar and lavender flowers in a medium saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar and allow the mixture to come to a boil. Be very careful, the mixture will be very hot! Let the mixture vigorously boil for 5 minutes and remove from the heat.

Once the mixture has completely cooled, pass the mixture through strainer to capture all the lavender flowers. Place the syrup in a storage container and allow to store and cool in the refrigerator.

Get creative! You can use this lavender simple syrup in cocktails, deserts, etc!

    2. The photos are still small for the amount of white space around it. Might want to rethink the dimensions that would perfectly suit your blog layout.

Hope I'm not offending. Just offering my thoughts :) xoxo

    3. No you are not.... We are using the blogger platform so if we use the xl size it goes out the sides.. Will need to do a complete design change for that...
