From our home to yours, here is the easiest recipe for one of our favorite Spanish tapas - chorizo a la cidra! All it takes is four ingredients that you can throw together for friends in less than 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Buen Provecho!
1 package of chorizo sausage
1 green apple
1 cup of cidra (apple cider)
Loaf of French bread
Remove the casing of the chorizo. Core and peel the apple.
Slice the chorizo into 1/4 inch slices. Chop the apple into small cubes. Over medium-high heat, cook the chorizo, apples and 1/2 cup of sidra for 5 minutes with the lid on. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and add the remaining 1/2 cup of cidra for 5 minutes until the sausage and apples absorb the liquid. Slice and warm the French bread in the oven. Spoon the mixture on to the bread and serve on a beautiful serving dish.
