Mr. & Mrs. P On Board the NCL Epic!

So we decided to take a break from our busy lives and ventured on a 7-day cruise to the Western Caribbean on board the Norwegian Epic last week. Even though we took a hiatus from cooking, we did not abandon our blog!

Not only do we like to cook, we like to eat! And boy, did we have choices on the Epic! With over 20 dining options, it is hard to stick to three meals a day! (Thankfully there is a HUGE state-of-the-art gym on the ship for those of you who feel guilty about indulging in extra calories like we did.)

We ate in almost all of the specialty restaurants on board the second largest vessel on earth and documented our experience on a 3x5" notepad and photographed the dishes we ate. Yes, people thought we were crazy. But once we explained what we were doing, they shared in our excitement. We met alot of other foodies (and really great staff) on this cruise. We hope they are reading this!

Each day this week, we will be posting our food critiques on each of these Epic restaurants:

-Moderno Churrascaria
-Noodle Bar
-O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill
-La Cucina (Italian)
-Cagney's Steakhouse
-Cirque Dreams and Dinner Show at the Spiegel Tent
-Taste (One of two main dining rooms)
-The Manhattan Room (One of two main dining rooms)
-Wasabi (Sushi bar)

We hope these posts will convince you to cruise on the Epic and pay the minimal cover charge for the specialty restaurants. Trust us, they are worth it! NCL did not pay us to sway you into cruising with them for their food. We just really, really liked the food!

  1. What beautiful pictures - you two are such a gorgeous couple! And the ship looks amazing! Can't wait to hear about the food!

  2. I'm looking forward to your comments about the cruise and the food. We're taking the Eastern Caribbean cruise on Nov 6.

  3. Thanks! We've already posted two reviews - one on the Sushi Bar and the other on Taste. Enjoy!
